Chainsaw Man

This is an article based on the famous manga, Chainsaw Man!

Chainsaw Man, created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, is a dark and thrilling manga series that has captivated readers with its unique blend of horror, action, and emotional depth. Set in a world infested with demons, the story follows the life of Denji, a young man who becomes a devil hunter and forms a contract with a powerful demon chainsaw. In this article, we will delve into the intricate world of Chainsaw Man and explore its captivating characters, their motivations, and the impact they have on the narrative. Denji, the protagonist of the series, is a complex and multi-faceted character. Initially leading a mundane and impoverished life, Denji's world is turned upside down when he dies and merges with his pet devil dog, Pochita, to become Chainsaw Man. Denji's motivations are simple yet relatable; he desires food, a roof over his head, and a chance at a normal life. Despite his brutal and monstrous appearance, Denji possesses a vulnerable and compassionate side, making him an endearing and compelling character. At around the end of the first part of Chainsaw Man, it is seen that the Chainsaw Devil was actually the Extinction Devil as he could eat other devils to completely erase them off of the history of the Earth, hence the reason why he is so feared and wanted as a Devil. No one has noticed this as the Extinction Devil was weakened to its state of being a Chainsaw Devil, but still being feared either way. Throughout the whole story, all the antagonists try to obtain Denji’s heart, Pochita, which is the origin of the Chainsaw Devil as they could consume it in order to have the powers of the Chainsaw Devil and soon be the Extinction Devil. The author, Tatsuki Fujimoto, actually lived a similar life to Denji, therefore he is his own inspiration for his main character in Chainsaw Man. He used to starve as a kid and he joined drawing competitions to win money for his food. He lived a humble life, just like Denji did, and I believe that the manga he made, Chainsaw Man, is an amazing work of art.
